PRESS: Gazprom to build 3rd stage of gas pipelines from Yamal soon
MOSCOW, Oct 10 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom plans to construct the third stage of the Bovanenkovo–Ukhta and the Ukhta–Torzhok gas pipelines, which will be used for transporting Yamal-made gas, soon, Kommersant business daily reported on Wednesday citing the company’s development program until 2024.
The 1,110 kilometer Bovanenkovo–Ukhta pipeline will have a capacity of 69 billion cubic meters of gas and is to be launched in 2023, and the 973 kilometer Ukhta–Torzhok pipeline’s capacity will amount to 45 billion cubic meters of gas.
The plan has been approved by President Vladimir Putin’s strategic development council.
The facilities will deliver gas produced at new deposits on the Yamal Peninsula including the Kharasaveiskoye field which is to be launched in 2023 and may reach the capacity of 32 billion cubic meters of gas until 2026–2027.
